Boil Water Notice

BOIL WATER NOTIFICATION
Due to a burst pipe which led to equipment malfunction, the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality has required El Paso County Tornillo Water Improvement District, public water system, State
Water System ID #0710019, to notify customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice
making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous,
rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain
water from some other suitable source.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the Tornillo Water District will notify you that the water
is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this
notice.

AVISO DE HERVIR AGUA
Debido a la rotura de una tubería que provocó un fallo en el equipo, la Comisión de Calidad Ambiental de
Texas (TCEQ) ha pedido Distrito de riego de Tornillo del condado de El Paso, número de identificación
del sistema de agua estatal #0710019, que avise a todos sus usuarios que hiervan el agua antes de que sea
ingerida.
Con el propósito de eliminar toda bacteria y otros microbios perjudiciales a la salud, se les pide a los
usuarios que hiervan el agua que se va a usar para tomar, cocinar y hacer hielo. El agua debe hervirse a
temperature alta hasta que haga burbujas y luego continuar hirviéndola por dos minutos. En lugar de agua
hervida, puede comprarse agua embotellada, o puede obtenerla de otra fuente.
Las autoridades de su sistema de aguas le avisarán cuando ya no sea necesario hervir el agua.
